Comment from the Club Secretary
Ian was a dogged midfielder, who loved to tackle, he was a real good man-to-man marker who could really wind up his opponent. Although not the greatest passer of the ball in the world, he loved to take penalties. Ian could always be relied upon to give 110%. The biggest compliment I can give Ian is that he always played with a smile on his face, he was an infectious character who is sorely missed at the club.

We sat down with Ian and asked him the following Questions
I work on the roads, for a traffic management company, we work all over the country, I try to get back home from time to time to have a pint in the TA with the lads.

Craig Parsons, he was different class when we were Patrolling the Middle for the TA. As for an out-and-out headcase you'd have to go for Gary Gough, he was completely Nuts, hated conceding goals

It has to be winning the Rhymney Valley Cup against Fochriw it was our first Final, we were up against a good side, but on the day the boys did great, and what a party after the game. In fairness we always got on well with the Foch boys and a few of
Getting robbed against the Panteg in the final the following year, the game was a complete set up. We should have had a penalty to level the game with about 8 mins to go, I was one of the closest to Dafydd when he got clattered. I went on to the ref who said he had another game and there was no chance of extra time
It would have to be a toss up between Lee Duggan and Shorne Jones, Duggan had everything, Shorne just never put a foot wrong, both could play anywhere and did, except I don't think Shorne played in Goals, Duggan did though. 2 outstanding players
Absolutely Everything, from the changing room to the Pitch, the craic after the game (which was fantastic). I had some great times at the club, never ever repeated anywhere else. I still miss the boys.......
